    Apple’s new lineup includes a touch screen Nano
    Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO, introduced the latest updates to its iPod line of products. The new lineup features an iPod Nano with a touch screen. The video chat program FaceTime will be included on the new iPod Touch. The Touch will include a camera facing forward to enable video chats. This feature is already available on the latest iPhones.     What small businesses need to know about Facebook
    Facebook has launched a new feature called Facebook Places. This feature enables iPhone Facebook users to “check in” at their location. The location they are at is recorded and sent out over Facebook for the users’ friends to see. Facebook Places also enables the businesses to “claim” their establishment and control the business information published by Facebook Places.     Apple TV reveals second generation model (Video)
    Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs revealed the second generation Apple TV. The new Apple TV is one-fourth the size of the original, small enough to fit into one’s hand. The new model includes Wi-Fi connection abilities, an HDMI connector and a built in power supply. Content will be available to rent for viewing on the TV; Apple will no longer offer the option to buy video content. ABC and FOX have already signed on to offer their content to rent for $0.99.     Smaller iPad possibility for Tablet market
    It is rumored that Apple will release a smaller seven inch iPad by December, called iPad 2. The competition in the tablet PC field is growing as Apple’s competitors are working on their own tablet PC’s in order to gain a share of the market.     Samsung Galaxy enters battle against Apple iPad
    Samsung has entered the tablet PC competition, introducing their response to the Apple iPad. The Samsung Galaxy Tablet was released on September 2nd in Berlin. The new device is smaller than the iPad, at seven inches. The Galaxy Tablet will enable video calls by featuring two cameras. The Galaxy will be run on Android 2.2 software.     Sony versus Kindle in e-reader market
    Sony has released its newest version of its e-reader. The new model includes a higher contrast display. The touch screen has improved over its previous version. Only the top model of the Sony e-reader features Wi-Fi, while both the Kindle and the Nook feature it on all their models. The new Sony e-reader is greatly improved over its previous models. However, it still lags behind in many areas. While the Sony e-reader is improved, the Kindle and the Nook still seem to be the superior products.     Tweets are organized by conversation in Google’s new real-time search
    Google has introduced a new Realtime search engine. This service is able to search content in Twitter in real time. Google Realtime also enables users to set up alerts; the user is notified of any updates to a Twitter conversation they are following. Experts believe that this service is primarily going to appeal to the advanced user because it is too complicated for the everyday search engine user.     Phoenix is home to new Fry’s Food Store
    Fry’s Food Store has entered the high end grocery store market with its opening of its signature Marketplace superstore in Phoenix. The grocery chain is known for its low prices and has considered Wal-Mart to be its biggest competition. Fry’s is introducing this new store format to attract the affluent customer. The store will offer valet parking, car washes, a cooking school, a wine bar, a larger selection of organic produce and higher end meats.     New Ford Explorer launched virtually online
    Ford launched its 2011 Explorer crossover online. While most new car reveals are done at car shows, Ford aired its launch on Facebook. Jumpstart Media, who owns a network of auto-centric Websites, saw a 104% increase in the number of people searching for Ford.     Gizmodo ends up with lost iPhone prototype
    On Monday, Gizmodo published photos and analysis of what ended up in their possession, a prototype of an unreleased and unannounced iPhone 4G. Gawker has received criticism along with 5 million page views from the story of the iPhone. Gadget phones are most concerned with the authenticity of the phone, since there is some skepticism due to the many unanswered questions by Gizmodo.
